New to Phoenix, Nicole recently joined the Worksbureau team. Graduating with a degree in electrical engineering from Texas Christian University in 2007, Nicole worked in the aerospace and electrical consulting industries, designing critical systems infrastructure—from airplane electrical networks to hospital lighting designs. However, architecture always fascinated her, leading her to complete her Master of Architecture with a sustainability certificate from the University of Washington in 2022.
Nicole believes in the power of architectural experiments to influence our world. She is inspired by architecture as an act of service to both people and the greater environment, and she sees successful design as an embodiment of this ideal. With an interest in high performance buildings, Nicole brings her technical background into the architectural space, advocating for a built environment that supports healthy communities and ecosystems.
Outside the studio, you can find Nicole reading a good book, dreaming about her next backpacking trip, or exploring her new southwest home by mountain bike.
