Within the innovative TAXI complex, minutes from downtown Denver in the RiNo District, Fuel Café is an acclaimed culinary outpost with a local, organic agenda. In an existing masonry shell, interventions of glass garage doors and a luminous amber bar animate the sunlit volume. By evening, fabric scrims and Edison lamps create an ambience of mystery. The terrace is humbly formed of recycled concrete, trees and herb gardens. The café has rapidly become a hub for creative professionals, politicians and artists. Heritage Project
