6 Residences + 3 Shared Amenity Buildings
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
Adjacent to a landmark watershed, the Khozama (Arabic: oasis) Estate is a collection of limestone and glass houses with a common gathering building for a close-knit extended family—ringed around gardens with a central wadi (ravine) riparian watercourse. The villas share a vocabulary including translucent fritted light towers and wood lattice canopies at entries, yet the personality of each residence is tailored to the particular family. The perimeter is completed by a shared pool with cabanas, fitness, and spa suite. Emanating from a waterfall, cascades lead to a still pond at the secret garden. Among the wadi trees, the shade pavilion is a 15m high conical wood lattice appearing to float over a basin—a focal lantern for conversation and meditation.
