Sited at the base of Camelback Mountain, Royal View is a courtyard house that frames its panorama. Two wings anchor the home to the landscape: the east entry flank, hosting office and rec spaces; and the western bar of bedroom suites. The soaring roof of the luxurious great room spans the wings— capturing the vista through 50’ wide x 12’ tall multi-slide window wall, anchored by a transparent fireplace. Refined light honed masonry is paired against mellow gray plaster and pewter zinc roof lines. Landscape screens of masonry and weathering steel extend the house into the gardens, and relate to the tones of the mountain beyond.
