Past_Future_Present presents a rare panorama of the most innovative art produced in Brazil from the 1990s to the 2010s, 70 artworks created by 59 artists in diverse media, including painting, sculpture, installation, photography, and video.

The exhibition is organized around five disparate themes: The Body/The Social Body; Shifting Identities; The Reinvention of the Monochrome; Landscape, Reimagined; and Impossible Objects. Where the exhibition is organized around these five themes, the exhibition is designed to stitch the work and themes back together into a unified whole. Inspired by traditional Beaux Arts style museums, where gallery crossroads offer glimpses or vistas into other work and collections, the fractured, angled, and disconnected exhibition walls provide porous thematic boundaries for visitors to chart their own paths, create their own interpretations, and draw their own connections.
