Working professionally in architecture since 2005, Cory’s experience covers a wide range of building types and uses in all phases of design and construction. From highly technical institutional facilities including cleanrooms, laboratories, imaging centers, manufacturing, education, mixed use and commercial. Through the years working in the United States and internationally Cory strives to deliver quality oriented and highly technical projects on time and on budget. Cory is very team oriented and constantly strives for team improvement and success.

Braden Blake

Braden was born and raised in Washington DC before finding his true home in the desert in 2005. He received his undergraduate (2010) and Master of Architecture (2016) degrees from The Design School at Arizona State University, where he was the recipient of the Ralph Haver Memorial Architecture Scholarship and a Design Excellence Award winner. He has worked as a project manager and designer in various local firms, with a focus in high-end hospitality, restaurant, commercial, and retail projects. Braden joined the studio in 2016 and is pursuing his architectural registration.

Melissa Cox

Melissa was born and raised in Colorado and moved to Phoenix in 2005. She attended the University of Colorado Colorado Springs and has a degree in Interior Commercial Design. Her experience is focused mainly on retail and commercial projects, and has been in a variety of roles from purchasing to installation. This experience has helped to gain valuable perspective on the many facets of the design industry and has taught her the importance of attention to details and team collaboration, as she believes it is a key role in a client’s happiness and a projects success.

Fritz Morton

Fritz grew up in Cleveland Ohio and received his Bachelors of Architecture from Syracuse University. He relocated to Phoenix in 1999 and has since worked on a wide variety of project types including medical, educational, civic, office, sports, and commercial buildings. Fritz has a focus on exterior envelope design and detailing. He is a passionate proponent of BIM modeling and has led multiple teams in the adoption of this documentation method. Fritz joined the studio in 2014.

Angela Poorman

Administrative Office Manager

After working for many years in various administrative roles, Angela joined the studio in 2007 as an administrative assistant. Over the years, Angela has taken on additional responsibilities that have led her to her current role of Administrative Office Manager. Outside of her financial focus at the studio, Angela is currently nearing completion of a Bachelor of Science in Business, and plans to pursue a Masters of Accountancy and CPA licensure. Although born and raised in the infamous town where SPAM originated (Austin, Minnesota), she relocated to the Southwest after spending many years in Minneapolis.

Elizabeth Reiter

A rare desert native, Elizabeth was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. She received her Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Arizona in 2008 and studied furniture design at Denmark’s Danish Design School in Copenhagen, Denmark. Upon graduation, she joined the studio in 2009 and participates in all phases of architectural design. She has worked on all of the studio’s projects in Saudi Arabia, and is currently focused on their local multi-family and single family residences. She is currently pursuing her architectural license.

Stephanie Rompre

Stephanie was born and raised in Montreal, QC and studied Fine Arts at College Champlain. At an early age, she was introduced to artistic expression through figure skating. She relocated to Arizona in 1999 to pursue her newfound passion for Architecture. She received her Masters' of Architecture at Arizona State University in 2007 during which she participated in the Latin American Public Architecture Initiative program in Argentina and Brazil. She gained varied experience during and after graduation from residential to public work. Her experience is mainly focused on designing, coordination and project management of commercial mixed-use and high tech industrial projects on a local, national and international level. She joined the studio in 2014 to complement the talented team and expand her knowledge in producing responsible Architecture.

Chad Smith

Chad grew up in York, Pennsylvania and made the move to Blacksburg, Virginia, where he received a Bachelor Architecture from Virginia Tech in 2012. During his time in school, he spent two semesters abroad, one in Riva San Vitale, Switzerland and another in Copenhagen, Denmark, where he traveled and experienced many great cities and examples of architecture across Europe and Scandinavia. Professionally, Chad has worked in both Washington, DC and Phoenix, with a wide variety of international and national experience working on project types such as mixed-use multi-family housing, higher education, workplace, airports, and design competitions.

Jeff Yarnall

Jeff was born and raised in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and subsequently moved with his family to Portland, OR and Las Vegas, NV. Jeff graduated from Texas Tech University with a B.S. in Architecture in 2010. He graduated from Arizona State University with a Masters’ in Architecture in 2012. Since graduating, he has worked on a variety of projects including office improvements, restaurants, banks, and single family developments. Jeff joined WORKSBUREAU in 2014 an is currently pursuing his architectural license.
